Wat Pa Phu Kon
Wat Pa Phu Kon is a Buddhist temple located in the northeastern region of Thailand, in the province of Udon Thani. This peaceful and scenic temple is situated on the top of Phu Kon Mountain, offering stunning views of the surrounding forests and landscapes. The temple is known for its serene atmosphere and natural beauty, which make it a popular spot for both local worshippers and tourists.
The temple is particularly famous for its beautiful architecture, including the large, white stupa (chedi) and the impressive golden Buddha statue. It's a place where visitors can meditate, enjoy the tranquil environment, and explore the surrounding natural area, which includes lush forests and mountain trails.
Extraordinary’ is not too strong a word to describe this magnificent temple on the mountain. Its turquoise roof, unusual for a temple, will leave you with unforgettable memories, and the marble Reclining Buddha is sumptuous.
I had the good idea of visiting this temple during the week when there were very few visitors, and the place was full of serenity.
To add to this superb ensemble, an incredible location high up on the mountain that allows you to admire the whole region...
